These started off as the backup set, then we realized we wanted this as the primary, so installed these on our stairs. All the same brand, same size, these have held up well on townhouse stairway, trafficed regularly by 3 adults and 2 children...running up and down the stairs, and heavy set man walking up and down the stairs. These are holding well to wear and tear and regularly vacuuming.Each has strips underneath that stick to the stairs, before placement, you pull the protective paper and they stick to the stairs, provided they are tile, wood, or anything solid base. Self installment, 15 of these for the complete stairwell. Very easy, very simple, just lots of trash. These hold well in place, wood designed tile stairway. We have a lip at the edge of each stair, and the rug depth covers part of that lip, though not running over the edge of the stair. No issues. For the width, these are spot on for the stairway, so the rugs do not move, slide, or otherwise become an issue with going up and down the stairs.These are great, add color to our stairs, provide a little padding not previously there, are perfect. Highly recommend.
